Kirsty Ogden from Brisbane Self-Publishing Service showed us the steps to take to self-publish your book and the pitfalls to avoid to ensure the end product is absolutely awesome.

Lauren Elise Daniels and Pamela Jeffs from Brisbane Writers Workshop showed us how to stand out and create work that you can be truly proud of.

Jennifer Lancaster told us about micro publishing and how indie writers can build sustainable, profitable and purpose-driven author businesses.

Dr David Reiter from Interactive Publishing helped us broaden our horizons – to think bigger than books and explore the other exciting and expansive ways to express ourselves and get our work into the world.

An incredible panel of Linda King (the Smartravelista), Diane Clarke and Shelley Dark also offered an insight into the essential and yet sometimes elusive notion of finding the author voice – a subject that sits right at the intersection of creative identity, reader connection, and indie publishing success.
